Criteria - What is it and why is it important?
Criteria is defined as the "principle or standard by which something may be judged or decided."
Therefore, we have criteria in order to know what current standard you are working at and to allow us to guide you to know how to improve. Recent changes called 'Life without Levels' means we are moving away from attributing 5.3 etc. in Key Stage 3 (Year 7 & 8) and from A - A* to 1 - 9 etc in GCSE. You will still know how to improve and the grade criteria contained in the information below will help.
