KS3 English Information
Welcome to Churchill
Academy English Weebly for KS3.
Key Stage 3 at Churchill is year 7 and year 8, where you will study a range of different units and build on the English skills you developed in Primary School. Our units cover Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening skills. All of the units prepare you with the skills you need for GCSE and going out into the world of work (which seems a long time away at the moment).
Year 7
Click on the Year 7 tab where you will be able to look at an overview of the units you’ll be taking this year starting with an Autobiography unit helping your teachers to get to know you.
This is also where you can find your Extended Learning Projects for homework in each unit.
Don’t forget for AR (Accelerated Reader) you also have to read a minimum of 1 hour at home before your two weekly library lesson.
Year 8
Click on the Year 8 tab where you will be able to look at an overview of the units you’ll be taking this year starting with an Autobiography unit helping your teachers to get to know you.
This is also where you will find different resources being added over the year, so if you want to practice any particular skills this is a good place to look or ask your teacher to upload some useful information for you.
